Functionality

Participant and spectator functionality is organized by four tabs, and an Individual Participant View. These tabs include information related to race details, live tracking, rankings, and post race results.

Explore

The Explore Tab is the first thing users see when launching an event. A large featured image serves as the visual header. Participants can sign in using a code sent to their registration email, enhancing their experience without requiring credentials. Event information is displayed through formatted text or web pages. Sponsors are showcased prominently, with one designated as the Map Tracking Sponsor. Organizers can schedule or send announcements, with past messages available for review. The Explore Tab creates an engaging entry point for participants and spectators.

Leaderboard

The Leaderboard Tab provides real-time race rankings. Overall rankings are categorized by Men, Women, and Non-binary participants, while Division Rankings break results down by age groups and other preset criteria. Users can tap on any name to instantly view the Individual Participant View, revealing in-depth details about their performance. This tab ensures a seamless and intuitive way to track race progress and see how participants rank against their peers, offering both broad race overviews and detailed individual insights.

Map

The Map Tab offers a dynamic way to explore the race course. Users can switch between course maps and view key locations like aid stations and post-race areas. Annotations provide insights into timing points, and a key lists all map features with descriptions. Participants' locations are color-coded to differentiate between passed (green), estimated (orange), and remaining (blue) sections. Spectators can see their own position relative to the course and tracked participants. This tab enhances race-day navigation and engagement for both participants and spectators.

Participants

The Participants Tab allows users to search for athletes by name or bib number, offering quick access to the Individual Participant View. Saved and tracked participants appear in a customizable list, sortable by progress, saved order, or race. Each participant’s last recorded location is displayed, such as “Finished” or “Last recorded at 13.1M.” Users can easily tap to view more details, making this tab a valuable tool for following multiple racers and staying updated on their progress.

Individual Participant View

The Individual Participant View provides a personalized look at an athlete’s race experience. A dedicated map highlights their course position, chip and gun times, pace, and rankings. Live clocks update while they’re on the course, with official times available post-finish. Users can access race photos, finish videos, and finisher certificates if available. Splits show past, current, and estimated future times. A historical performance section logs past races, distances, and times, offering a complete record of an athlete’s event history.
